Actually, there are countless of reasons for their existence. Some evolved to become profitable, some exist to service the needs of their members, while others evolved to share their knowledge to wine lovers.
According to history, wine clubs existed for centuries and they dated back several centuries ago and majority of them started from as far as France, Italy, Australia, the United States and Spain. They started and they existed not only to share knowledge about the different varieties of wines and the proper way of preparing wine glasses, but also to share their knowledge about the different winemaking procedures and several tasting methods.
Most often, owners of wineries are the ones who start a wine club to unveil their collection of wines. They will give out data about their product collection, wine tasting tests and access to their products at affordable costs.
