I like the original Space Blanket silver heat reflective blanket that we keep in our first-aid and survival kits. Now there are new wearable ones with hoods. We got some of those too. One never knows when one of the blankets will come in handy. They reflect body heat back to the wearer. This is good for treating those who may be going into shock or in need of retaining body heat when placed in a survival situation. Hypothermia is not only a problem in winter climates. A cool summer night when a person is lost in the wilderness can be a problem. Being wet exacerbates the problem. A simple survival blanket that can fit in a pocket could make all the difference between freezing or surviving. They are inexpensive to be able to be used in even mildly unconformable situations. Actually, they are so inexpensive that the whole family can train with them to get a real feel of how good they work.
